Joe Occhiogrosso

Joe Occhiogrosso was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated Brooklyn College with a BA in Economics in 1978. Upon graduating college Joe was hired by The Brooklyn Union Gas Company. Joe held various positions before he was promoted into the Sales and Marketing Area. In his first 5 years, Joe was a top boiler salesman. In 1987, Joe was promoted into Account Management. He was responsible for managing the relationships with Brooklyn Union’s largest customers. One of Joe’s many accomplishments was representing Brooklyn Union with The NYC Coal Conversion task force where all NYC schools eliminated the antiquated coal heating systems, replacing them with modern gas/oil systems. Joe also contributed in writing the Temperature Control guidelines that the company still uses today. In 2010, after 32 years, Joe retired from National Grid as the Director of Key Account Sales.

In 2010, Joe accepted a position as Director of Sales at a Mechanical Contracting firm. He was responsible for many boiler and burner sales and developed numerous relationships with large real estate companies throughout the Tri-State area. Joe recently moved on and joined the Abilene/Phoenix team as Relationship Manager.

In his spare time, Joe enjoys cooking with his family, surf fishing and golf. He lives in Belle Harbor Queens with his wife Cretia. They have 2 daughters.
