Abilene Completes Major Capital Improvement Project by Replacing 50-Year Old Boilers.

The boiler room in this building at 235 South Lexington was in dire need of attention – the 50 year old steam fire box boilers were constantly leaking and there were numerous building department complaints every week for lack of heat and hot water proving the boilers were beyond repair.

Abilene came to the buildings rescue with one of their emergency temporary boilers and the complaints immediately subsided.

While the temporary boiler was in place, the installation team went to work removing the old equipment, installing two new high efficiency Best Boilers with Industrial Combustion burners, all new steam piping, domestic water piping and oil piping throughout the boiler room, high efficiency fiber glass insulation and a new paint job with detailed labeling.

To top off the project, all new LED lighting was installed in the entire boiler room.
